Lupere FC - DMZ were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after New Miran FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven-Arne Sandell took the corner. The corner ended in Sven-Arne Sandell almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but New Miran FC's Joel Velloso did a great save. In the 8th minute, Luiz Fabiano Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Marcelo de Souza put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joel Velloso. The supporters of New Miran FC booed when Lupere FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 played minutes Lupere FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo de Souza. If Marcelo de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 40 minutes of play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Marcelo de Souza made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Velloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã Corrêa to make the kick off. Jedaiah Tavares hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match.
