After some careless play in the Lupere FC - DMZ defense, Ladislao Bermudo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silas Bastos. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silas Bastos should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Warren FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Bernardo Moreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo de Souza. 19 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgian Arrascaeta came free, but Silas Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Zé Paulo Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Warren FC - DMZ's Bernardo Moreira got control of the ball when Marcelo de Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelo de Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Moreira having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Paulo Fontes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ladislao Bermudo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Silas Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
