The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Damian Tender made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Genaro Hernandez sent off a good shot on target. Reynaldo Savion stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Şoimaru's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Marcel Itu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Savion having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Genaro Hernandez in the 21st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Rigoberto Fe hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Fabian Şoimaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RED BLUE STAR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Şoimaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel Itu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Şoimaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Fabian Şoimaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateo Tolino during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Bahía é Carnaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Tolino to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Genaro Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Tender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bahía é Carnaval booed when RED BLUE STAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicodim Stancu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A collision led to Bahía é Carnaval getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Alvaro Ishmael hit a great ball. After 57 minutes of play Bahía é Carnaval's Alvaro Ishmael was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Reynaldo Savion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Şoimaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Tender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. A hard shot 74 in the game by Fabian Şoimaru from a close distance when the talented Reynaldo Savion managed to make a qualified save. Bahía é Carnaval's players were relieved. In the 75th minute, Mateo Tolino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Fabian Şoimaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Savion was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Bahía é Carnaval's zone, Fabian Şoimaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Savion came out of the goal and Fabian Şoimaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bahía é Carnaval's Diego Hernandez was substituted for Alejandro Tavio. Damian Tender took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Hernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
