An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 10th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miguel Prosperi in the 12th minute. Miguel Prosperi made a great header on ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's corner, it was just that Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos managed to reach the ball for a save. Ariel Mourelatos had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Prosperi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Arnaldo Gabon took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ariel Mourelatos. Ariel Mourelatos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Arnaldo Gabon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ariel Mourelatos having to make a save. After 46 minutes of play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Mourelatos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 54th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Valerio Spadoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
