If Enrique Cassaretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alan Varela made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fabian Oterino. After 23 played minutes Atlético Grau Piura got a freekick which was hit by Alan Varela. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 28th minute of play forced Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper Tartalo Delatorre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Cassaretto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Tartalo Delatorre made a huge save. 29 minutes into the game, Enrique Cassaretto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tartalo Delatorre. Enrique Cassaretto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Oterino in the 32nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Enrique Cassaretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Cassaretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tartalo Delatorre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. George Forsyth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Oterino in the 35th minute of the match. With a little luck, Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre got control of the ball when Enrique Cassaretto tried to sneak it across the goal line. CD Municipal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iacob Roman in the 39th minute. Atlético Grau Piura's attentive Francisco Conceicão managed to snatch the ball when Mouricio Zuri made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Oterino to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Enrique Cassaretto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 56th minute Fabian Oterino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Atlético Grau Piura got a freekick which was hit by Alan Varela. A collision led to Atlético Grau Piura getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alan Varela hit a great ball. Tartalo Delatorre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tulio Andinyach, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Tartalo Delatorre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Cassaretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Forsyth came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Grau Piura's Fabian Oterino. But to his dismay, Fabian Oterino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Atlético Grau Piura made a substitution. Junior Quintana replaced Fabian Oterino. 77 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's Ryota Miyagi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tartalo Delatorre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryota Miyagi in the 78th minute of play forced Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper Tartalo Delatorre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Iacob Roman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tartalo Delatorre quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 82 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Buendia. Tartalo Delatorre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryota Miyagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Ryota Miyagi made a precise shot to the right of Tartalo Delatorre. Atlético Grau Piura's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Tartalo Delatorre came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by CD Municipal's Oalo Dean. But to his dismay, Oalo Dean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oalo Dean in the 94th minute of play. Peng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atlético Grau Piura's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
