George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Mendonça in the 24th minute of play. Tulio Andinyach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CD Municipal's attentive Oliver Ramon managed to snatch the ball when Manu Betancur made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. After some careless play in the CD Municipal defense, Maurinho Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Forsyth. The CD Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Forsyth should have stopped the shot. Enrique Cassaretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Birila Graña having to make a save. Birila Graña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Mendonça came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The CD Municipal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Claretiano FC were winning 0-1.

Maurinho Mendonça took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Forsyth. George Forsyth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 58 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Birila Graña narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enrique Cassaretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Birila Graña having to make a save. 64 minutes into the match, Claretiano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Birila Graña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute Maurinho Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maurinho Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurinho Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but George Forsyth made a huge save. 79 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birila Graña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Claretiano FC's Gelacio Salceda was substituted for Qu Lei Chang. CD Municipal's Oalo Dean was substituted for Zlatan Molina. Birila Graña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryota Miyagi, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Claretiano FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iacob Roman was slow to take the kick. During this time CD Municipal's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evtim Kúrdzhev in the 92nd minute of play forced Claretiano FC's goalkeeper Birila Graña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birila Graña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oalo Dean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
