The supporters of AC Papicho booed when Deportivo Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciano Briz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianluca Lapadula in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ratko Glavak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute, Deportivo Municipal's Flavio Maestri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. AC Papicho's Mika Ackerman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sendoa Montemayor in the 44 minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavio Maestri to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute AC Papicho were awarded a corner. Mika Ackerman went to the cornerflag to take it. Mika Ackerman missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 56 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ratko Glavak right hand side. Deportivo Municipal's attentive Eutropio Llerena managed to snatch the ball when Angel Beltxe made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Alexander Shaw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Maestri, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 77 minutes into the match, Deportivo Municipal's goalkeeper Ratko Glavak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gianluca Lapadula. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Municipal's goalkeeper Ratko Glavak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AC Papicho eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
