After 16 minutes of play, Programayin's Sergio Agüero made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jon Iruegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Sporting Cristal defense, Sergio Agüero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jon Iruegas. The Sporting Cristal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jon Iruegas should have stopped the shot. Jon Iruegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Agüero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match Programayin got a corner. Sporting Cristal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antonio Florian ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Programayin's Hans-Jürgen Pötscher got control of the ball when Fernanco Peso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jon Iruegas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Agüero went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Fernanco Peso might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hans-Jürgen Pötscher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernanco Peso ran back to his position shaking his head. Programayin's Hans-Jürgen Pötscher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Programayin from getting a goal against them. Sergio Agüero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Iruegas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Sergio Agüero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Programayin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Jon Iruegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luli Lulić in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernanco Peso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Programayin's goalkeeper Hans-Jürgen Pötscher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernanco Peso, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Sal Grandoso hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Programayin's Claude Pradias was substituted for Luli Lulić. In the 70th match minute, Sporting Cristal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sal Grandoso to maneuver through the defense. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st match minute, Sporting Cristal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Gogea to maneuver through the defense. If Claude Pradias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded Programayin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Cristal.
