Hüseyin Turan Elçibey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernanco Peso got free with Inocencio Felipo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inocencio Felipo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernanco Peso in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Fernanco Peso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inocencio Felipo was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, One Piece FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Felipo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernanco Peso. Caio Hornilla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Iruegas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. One Piece FC's Orlando Eneche was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jon Iruegas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Sporting Cristal booed when One Piece FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Hornilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernanco Peso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Inocencio Felipo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 34 minutes, Fernanco Peso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Cristal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernanco Peso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind One Piece FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Felipo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Inocencio Felipo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernanco Peso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 42 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sporting Cristal's Gertjan De Ryck got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caio Hornilla was the one to do the kick off. Inocencio Felipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernanco Peso in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 59th minute Fernanco Peso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Felipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute of the game Cheng Yang Cheng made a throw-in which Tobias Larsson played forward. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernanco Peso during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fernanco Peso hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, Sporting Cristal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfino Rosario to maneuver through the defense. Caio Hornilla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Jon Iruegas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 74th minute Fernanco Peso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Felipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Caio Hornilla could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Jon Iruegas however easily saved by the left post. 78 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Felipo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sporting Cristal made a substitution. Christian Luciano replaced Fernanco Peso. Orlando Eneche tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Inocencio Felipo. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-0 in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute, Christian Luciano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Caio Hornilla hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Cordeara Sanjuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of One Piece FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. One Piece FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Sporting Cristal were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
