When William de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Cercadinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William de Castro couldn't finish the play. A hard shot by Walmir Pirani from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Anibal Cambiasso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luisinho Vinhas hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Mugurel Zota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Cambiasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 19 played minutes Cercadinho got a freekick which was hit by Valiente Venezian. 22 minutes into the match, Cercadinho's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Cambiasso came free, but Mugurel Zota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Sebastian Cambiasso had to leave the field with a concussion. William de Castro's late challenge caught a BAIRES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William de Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cercadinho's William de Castro got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th match minute, Cercadinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Guilherme Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Anibal Cambiasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valiente Venezian, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Mugurel Zota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Cambiasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cercadinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valiente Venezian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Cercadinho booed when BAIRES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Cambiasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Cambiasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by William de Castro in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. William de Castro was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Valiente Venezian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cercadinho's Nando Matorin was substituted for Luisinho Vinhas. In the 89th minute, Marciano Cambiasso made a precise shot to the right of Mugurel Zota. Cercadinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Mugurel Zota was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Genaro Cambiasso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 93 minute of play. BAIRES's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
