Ermengol Baena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Sustrai, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jimeno Sadurni kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Haroldo Martxot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Maradona's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Martxot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 33rd minute of the match, Franco Bosch tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Errapel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Transito in the 36th minute of play forced ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Ermengol Baena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Miguel Transito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ermengol Baena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Jonathan Errapel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santa Maradona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franco Bosch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After some careless play in the Santa Maradona defense, Franco Bosch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Errapel. The Santa Maradona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Errapel should have stopped the shot. Franco Bosch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Transito got free with Ermengol Baena in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santa Maradona's Haroldo Martxot was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ermengol Baena in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bob Morley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jonathan Errapel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermengol Baena was a little too slow when Laureano Sustrai got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 5-2. Franco Bosch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Errapel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► were awarded a corner. Solustiano Blea went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Solustiano Blea to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Errapel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicollao Narbona in the 83rd minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Sustrai came free, but Ermengol Baena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Bosch scored 6-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Errapel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Santa Maradona players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
