In the 11th minute Vitório Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojciech Duda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wojciech Duda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Godoi in the 12th minute of play. Los Hermanos CIMZ's Wojciech Duda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Godoi in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernani Velasco to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Luisinho do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Los Hermanos CIMZ booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wojciech Duda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Hermanos CIMZ were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Palestra do Interior's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmid Guillaumet took the corner. A collision led to Los Hermanos CIMZ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Patrick Meira hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Godoi in the 35th minute of play forced Los Hermanos CIMZ's goalkeeper Wojciech Duda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Godoi took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wojciech Duda. Wojciech Duda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 42 minutes into the game, Ismael Pitta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Hermanos CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestra do Interior the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Los Hermanos CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Pitta to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47thth minute Boyisana Mnisi easily got through Los Hermanos CIMZ's defense and fired away a shot, but Wojciech Duda leaped left and performed a fabulous save.

Mazinho Mazza struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Allan Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Hermanos CIMZ. Los Hermanos CIMZ's attentive Tadeu Favoretto managed to snatch the ball when Boyisana Mnisi made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Palestra do Interior made a substitution.
