Charles Pimenta took the corner. William Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Maranhense having to interfere. Nenko Reza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Williams Ferrari's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Williams Ferrari's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nenko Reza was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Williams Ferrari sped through Villaverde Celeste Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nenko Reza. When Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 20th minute William Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Yuri Tutorskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nitra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Tutorskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerônimo Maranhense came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay. But to his dismay, Roy Makaay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bernard Edwards made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Charles Pimenta however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Makaay in the 28th minute of play forced Nitra FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Yuri Tutorskiy made the kick off in the second half. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Williams Ferrari in the 51st minute of play. Roy Makaay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerônimo Maranhense having to make a save. Jerônimo Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roy Makaay in the 58th minute. Roy Makaay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 61 minutes into the match, Nitra FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Makaay. If Roy Makaay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute of the match Villaverde Celeste Clube got a corner. Nitra FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guo Ao ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 70 minutes, Roy Makaay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Makaay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Luís Paulo Carneiro got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Chaves in the 73rd minute of the match. Roy Makaay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerônimo Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Roy Makaay sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes in the game Bernard Edwards did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Charles Pimenta. A throw-in in the 84th minute of the game was made by Oliver Veentjer with Charles Pimenta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 86th minute Roy Makaay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Luís Paulo Carneiro fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villaverde Celeste Clube's protests and gave Luís Paulo Carneiro a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Carneiro. Guo Ao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Maranhense having to interfere.
