Faruk Özakay ran over to the corner to take the kick. 16 minutes into the game, Randers A.F.C.'s Rene Rostholm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andoni Zubizarreta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 23 minutes into the game, Rene Rostholm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Andoni Zubizarreta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rene Rostholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 14 YâReN FC's Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Rostholm in the 28th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Jose Brejnebøl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rene Rostholm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andoni Zubizarreta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Nichlas Vesterdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Brejnebøl in the 42nd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Andoni Zubizarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Steenbeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Randers A.F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
