The Retumbante FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apat Reina should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Pranas Užkuraitis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Apat Reina. That made the score 3-1 in the 39 minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Fabinho Bittencourt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petr Čech. Batalhão do Peçanha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabinho Bittencourt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Paulo Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Apat Reina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pranas Užkuraitis in the 85th minute of the match. Pranas Užkuraitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pranas Užkuraitis in the 89th minute of play forced Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Pranas Užkuraitis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Apat Reina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pranas Užkuraitis in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Batalhão do Peçanha had won after a very even match.
