The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Leon to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Vieira made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Wilhelm Rolfsson sent off a good shot on target. 53 minutes into the match, Lionel Ronaldo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira. Zé Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57th minute, Wilhelm Rolfsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Inazuma Japan booed when E.C.Pelotas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilhelm Rolfsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Fred Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wilhelm Rolfsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Zé Vieira made a huge save. In the 77th minute E.C.Pelotas were awarded a corner. Gerson Moraes went to the cornerflag to take it. E.C.Pelotas's Gerson Moraes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zé Vieira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wilhelm Rolfsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Zé Vieira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Alfonso Leon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C.Pelotas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Leon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Inazuma Japan's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel Ronaldo came free, but Zé Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Inazuma Japan getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Joaquim Maranhense hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. E.C.Pelotas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
