Namık Hafız started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Lions Of Turks's Arif Buğra Onursu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jochen Doll made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jochen Doll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Namık Hafız, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vorwärts Lübeck's zone, Namık Hafız stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jochen Doll came out of the goal and Namık Hafız tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marc Pöttgen kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The Lions Of Turks fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Lions Of Turks's Namık Hafız looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Namık Hafız in the 27th minute of play forced Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Jochen Doll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Jochen Doll, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Namık Hafız ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jochen Doll was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Vorwärts Lübeck's Jochen Doll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Namık Hafız in the 34th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Jochen Doll, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lions Of Turks's Arif Burak Erengüç got a free kick in the 44th minute. Vorwärts Lübeck's Alexander Schaf shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cengiz Bozbey but with some difficulty. Ferit Port struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Cengiz Bozbey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vorwärts Lübeck. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Woltering to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Gencay Akbayrak got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Namık Hafız had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gencay Akbayrak was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 64 minutes, Namık Hafız managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions Of Turks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Namık Hafız was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Namık Hafız came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Lions Of Turks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Namık Hafız couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Marc Pöttgen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Çetin Özdoru was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 73rd minute, Namık Hafız got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Vorwärts Lübeck defense, Namık Hafız kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jochen Doll. The Vorwärts Lübeck fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jochen Doll should have stopped the shot. Peer Konnermann hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Arif Burak Erengüç charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arif Burak Erengüç the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Arif Burak Erengüç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferit Port fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cengiz Bozbey having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Gencay Akbayrak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jochen Doll was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Namık Hafız sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gencay Akbayrak kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lions Of Turks walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
