Preston Esposito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Onofre in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Jefferson Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preston Esposito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 played minutes DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO got a freekick which was hit by Federico Lassiter. 10 minutes into the match, MDQ Raptors FC's Ildefonso Efren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Preston Esposito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Pascal Sheldon fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's protests and gave Pascal Sheldon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Pascal Sheldon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Linhares in the 17th minute of play forced DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goalkeeper Preston Esposito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, MDQ Raptors FC's Marcos Onofre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Preston Esposito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ruperto Bastia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascal Lutz in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Linhares came free, but Preston Esposito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Tomás Etxatxu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Preston Esposito was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Preston Esposito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Onofre in the 34th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Onofre came free, but Preston Esposito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Pascal Lutz got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 46 minutes of play, MDQ Raptors FC's Marcos Onofre made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Preston Esposito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascal Lutz was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Etxatxu came free, but Preston Esposito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Preston Esposito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Etxatxu in the 58th minute of play. Ruperto Bastia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Lutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Pascal Lutz made a great header on DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's corner, it was just that MDQ Raptors FC's Ruperto Bastia managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascal Lutz in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruperto Bastia saved MDQ Raptors FC from getting behind. Preston Esposito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Onofre in the 64th minute. Marcos Onofre's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Preston Esposito skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as MDQ Raptors FC's Jefferson Linhares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Preston Esposito. That made the score 0-4 after 66 minutes of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Jefferson Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MDQ Raptors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 minutes of play, MDQ Raptors FC's Jefferson Linhares made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Preston Esposito was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Tomás Etxatxu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MDQ Raptors FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Preston Esposito made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Marcos Onofre sent off a good shot on target. Preston Esposito came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by MDQ Raptors FC's Marcos Onofre. But to his dismay, Marcos Onofre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. After 89 played minutes MDQ Raptors FC got a freekick which was hit by Amador Harriet. MDQ Raptors FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
