Maurinho Mendonça started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes UCV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruben Malta who took care of the corner kick. Birila Graña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Navarro Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11thth minute of the game Eriberto Bingen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Claretiano FC's Birila Graña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Eriberto Bingen sped through Claretiano FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Birila Graña. Birila Graña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Malmonje, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Maurinho Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nel Zuloaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Claretiano FC got a corner. UCV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ruben Malta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ruben Malta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but UCV's Nel Zuloaga did a great save. The audience was convinced that Maurinho Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nel Zuloaga was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 26th minute, Maurinho Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Claretiano FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind UCV's goalkeeper Nel Zuloaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nel Zuloaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The corner led Claretiano FC's Norino Tostado to fire away a dangerous shot which Nel Zuloaga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Claretiano FC got a corner. UCV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maurinho Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nel Zuloaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After some careless play in the UCV defense, Maurinho Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nel Zuloaga. The UCV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nel Zuloaga should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eriberto Bingen to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Claretiano FC's Dalmu Torre seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dalmu Torre the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Claretiano FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dalmu Torre had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Claretiano FC's Dalmu Torre got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 57th minute Norino Tostado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nel Zuloaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claretiano FC made a substitution. Benigno Viñal replaced Norino Tostado. The throw-in from Raymon Alas in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Claretiano FC's Tiadoro Folguera. In the 68th minute Qu Lei Chang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nel Zuloaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birila Graña made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Eriberto Bingen sent off a good shot on target. Benigno Viñal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gelacio Salceda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lia Longar got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Raymon Alas. Nel Zuloaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelacio Salceda in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match, Cordarryl Garcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Birila Graña saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nel Zuloaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelacio Salceda in the 95th minute of the match. Claretiano FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
