With an all-out effort, Tomb Raider FC's Dito Novaes threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Váldson Palmeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pedro Luiz Cordeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dito Novaes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Tomb Raider FC's Pedro Luiz Cordeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dito Novaes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. João Pedro Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvin Thedin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 28 minutes, Roger Stam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VARGINHA FC and the Tomb Raider FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, VARGINHA FC's Roger Stam got a free kick in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Váldson Palmeira in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dito Novaes saved VARGINHA FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the VARGINHA FC defense, Constantijn Schoovaerts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dito Novaes. The VARGINHA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dito Novaes should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josué Paiva in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Pedro Meirelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Constantijn Schoovaerts might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dito Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Constantijn Schoovaerts ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute Leontin Prelipceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Abraão came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dito Novaes could save by the left post. Álvaro Gaspar charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tomb Raider FC booed when VARGINHA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvin Thedin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in VARGINHA FC's zone, Pedro Luiz Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito Novaes came out of the goal and Pedro Luiz Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dito Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constantijn Schoovaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomb Raider FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Roger Stam scored to the left of an out of position João Pedro Meirelles, making the score, 5-1. Tomb Raider FC made a substitution. Balthazar Minnen replaced Pedro Luiz Cordeiro. In the 69th minute, Váldson Palmeira made a precise shot to the right of Dito Novaes. VARGINHA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. 72 minutes into the match, Tomb Raider FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Paiva came free, but João Pedro Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VARGINHA FC's Dito Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balthazar Minnen in the 73rd minute of play. Váldson Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
