The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Bjorn van Baarle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ELPORVE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bjorn van Baarle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cintya Palacios got free with Edelmiro Cresconio in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's goal looked a bit too open when Lico Diaz came free, but Dida Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Epifanio Lauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Hoberg United's Cintya Palacios slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edelmiro Cresconio. That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. 20 minutes into the game, Cintya Palacios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Edelmiro Cresconio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudio-Paul Pirinchev hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 35th match minute, ELPORVE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Lauro to maneuver through the defense. Balázs Sebes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Hoberg United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Cintya Palacios sped through ELPORVE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edelmiro Cresconio. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Balázs Sebes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's Balázs Sebes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edelmiro Cresconio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edelmiro Cresconio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cintya Palacios in the 55th minute of the match. Edelmiro Cresconio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cintya Palacios, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Hoberg United's Benny Bus managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Sol in the 75 minute of the game. Balázs Sebes struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Edelmiro Cresconio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hoberg United. If Cintya Palacios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, ELPORVE's goal looked a bit too open when Cintya Palacios came free, but Edelmiro Cresconio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Cresconio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cintya Palacios in the 85th minute of the match. Cintya Palacios might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edelmiro Cresconio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cintya Palacios ran back to his position shaking his head. Edelmiro Cresconio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cintya Palacios in the 87th minute of play. Hoberg United's Claudio-Paul Pirinchev quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felix Sol, made in the 89th minute of the game. After 92 played minutes ELPORVE got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Augustyn. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind ELPORVE's goalkeeper Edelmiro Cresconio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hoberg United had won after a very even match.
