Silviu Novac's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arlindo Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Belotaurus FC got a corner. Nankatsu SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelo Urre ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Evren Yezid came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Belotaurus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evren Yezid couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute Halit Ziya Adışanlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Geronimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Doni Cordeiro sped through Nankatsu SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arlindo Silva.
