Raimundo Isusko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isaac Tonete hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Joaquin Lorien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Epifanio Filipo during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Filipo. Conrado Valiente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ariel Seber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of BERMEJO booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Cordarrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mercedes's Maximino Pudes got a free kick in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Maximino Pudes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mercedes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BERMEJO the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Pedroso in the 48th minute of play forced Mercedes's goalkeeper Raimundo Isusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximino Pudes was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Mercedes's Raimundo Isusko got control of the ball when Marco Pedroso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Mercedes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BERMEJO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
