An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cordario in the 15th minute of play forced Umbrella Corporation's goalkeeper Sebastião Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoni Bartoszek in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, John Lennon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erwin Huygens. John Lennon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Erwin Huygens successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sebastião Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kiko Fonseca during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Umbrella Corporation got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Fonseca. After the first half Velez Sarsfield were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antoni Bartoszek to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Alonzo Che got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-2. 64 minutes into the match. Velez Sarsfield's Leandro Berti was substituted for Ignacio Berenguer. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Lennon in the 69th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Antoni Bartoszek made a precise shot to the right of Erwin Huygens. Velez Sarsfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Velez Sarsfield's Yiyo Bernal was substituted for Marcos Pacifico. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Fantini in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Antoni Bartoszek came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Umbrella Corporation players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
