When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Elmar Bruch put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Betão de Amaral. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Veloso in the 27th minute of play forced Clube dos pro's goalkeeper Ricky Blake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betão de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmar Bruch in the 29th minute of play. Elmar Bruch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Betão de Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play.
