After a defensive mix-up in C.R Perhaps's zone, Renato Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Persson came out of the goal and Renato Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 minutes, Oscar Sabóia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.R Perhaps and the Diamond Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. 12 minutes into the match, Renato Penha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Persson. C.R Perhaps's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renato Penha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Casper Persson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Penha in the 16th minute of play. Rafael Corrêa's late challenge caught a Diamond Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Diamond Football Club booed when C.R Perhaps was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renato Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Casper Persson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Diamond Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo de Queiroz came free, but Rui Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, C.R Perhaps's Dalmo de Queiroz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Peixoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Rui Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Corrêa in the 43rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidney Ramalho got free with Rui Peixoto in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, Diamond Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Corrêa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, José Vítor Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Jardel Sergipano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 minutes, Hortêncio Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diamond Football Club and the C.R Perhaps players grew even worse after the yellow card. Renato Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Persson having to interfere. In the 81stth minute of the game Sidney Ramalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diamond Football Club's Rui Peixoto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Diamond Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Corrêa came free, but Rui Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86th play minutes Rafael Corrêa shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Rui Peixoto and just under the crossbar into goal. Dalmo de Queiroz hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Penha in the 96th minute of play forced C.R Perhaps's goalkeeper Casper Persson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.R Perhaps were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Diamond Football Club for a fine match.
