Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Diamond Football Club's Renato Penha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Luís Fabiano de Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sumaré Sport Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diamond Football Club the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sumaré Sport Club's Luís Fabiano de Sena got a free kick in the 4th minute. Rui Peixoto came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Sumaré Sport Club's Alfred Chmelyk. But to his dismay, Alfred Chmelyk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Xu Sha Quan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sumaré Sport Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Chmelyk in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Peixoto saved Diamond Football Club from getting behind. Rui Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Tyszka in the 25th minute of the match. Rui Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Alfred Chmelyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rui Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Alfred Chmelyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alfred Chmelyk sped through Diamond Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rui Peixoto. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Brun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Peixoto was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Richard Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sumaré Sport Club's Richard Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Barral in the 55th minute of play. Rui Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Brun in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Sebastian Brun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rui Peixoto. Sebastian Brun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 64th minute, Sebastian Brun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumaré Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Rui Peixoto was a little too slow when Alfred Chmelyk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Chmelyk in the 70th minute of play forced Diamond Football Club's goalkeeper Rui Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Brun in the 71st minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Sumaré Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Barral came free, but Richard Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Hortêncio Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfred Chmelyk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Peixoto having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Trigo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rui Peixoto. That made the score 0-9 in the 92 minute of play. Sumaré Sport Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
