Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renato Augusto to make the kick off. Krisztián Véber hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Esen Sanal came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by C.R Perhaps's Sílvio de Senna. But to his dismay, Sílvio de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 88 played minutes C.R Perhaps got a freekick which was hit by Lucimar Barcelos. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Lei Feng Yan managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters rose to their feet, but Lei Feng Yan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fan Guang Lin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute Jardel Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Siekkötter to maneuver through the defense. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.R Perhaps would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
