After a rather tough play, Apocalipse FC's Sérgio Machado got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Francisco Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Santista CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Rodrigues to make the kick off. After taking down the ball on Academia Santista CIMZ's corner Francisco Lopez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gianluigi Buffon quite easily take care of the ball. After 71 minutes of play, Academia Santista CIMZ's Felipe Nerio made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gianluigi Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gianluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Nerio in the 74th minute of play. Felipe Nerio's late challenge caught a Apocalipse FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Nerio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Academia Santista CIMZ getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Felipe Nerio hit a great ball. After 92 played minutes Apocalipse FC got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Valladares. Celsinho Soares made in the 94th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luís Fábio Vale however managed to control. Academia Santista CIMZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
