In the 2nd match minute, Compostela FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaroslaw Niezgoda to maneuver through the defense. After 4 minutes Compostela FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardo Custódio who took care of the corner kick. Mário Maradona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesar Peyo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Thommy Jadis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thommy Jadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaroslaw Niezgoda in the 15th minute of play. Compostela FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after MINEIROS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Paulista took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Cerezo in the 19th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Thommy Jadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Loramendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Thommy Jadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar Peyo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Maradona's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. MINEIROS were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Compostela FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricardo Custódio took the corner. Mário Maradona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Cesar Peyo made a huge save. In the 40th minute of the game Rodrigo Seco made a throw-in which Justino Loramendi played forward. In the 41st minute, Mauro Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute Ricardo Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Peyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Compostela FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaroslaw Niezgoda to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Maradona made a kick off. After 51 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Severo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Maradona in the 55th minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cesar Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute of the match MINEIROS got a corner. Compostela FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Custódio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Compostela FSCMZ's goalie and right to Mário Maradona. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Compostela FSCMZ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cesar Peyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Maradona in the 60th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Kornatowski got free with Thommy Jadis in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesar Peyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Maradona in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Maradona in the 75th minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cesar Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MINEIROS's Smail Larbi was substituted for Clóvis Rezende. Cesar Peyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bon Čáp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bon Čáp scored 1-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesar Peyo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. MINEIROS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Compostela FSCMZ for a fine match.
