Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Toninho Madureira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alfonso Taraborrelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Maradona in the 3rd minute of the match. BOTAFOGO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Mário Maradona scored to the left of an out of position Alfonso Taraborrelli, making the score, 2-0. Mário Maradona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfonso Taraborrelli came out and tried to block the shot, but Mário Maradona slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 9th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as MINEIROS's Mário Maradona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfonso Taraborrelli. That made the score 4-0 after 14 minutes of play. 18 minutes into the match, Mário Maradona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfonso Taraborrelli, 5-0. With a little luck, BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli got control of the ball when Mário Maradona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mário Maradona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Taraborrelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute MINEIROS were awarded a corner. Ricardo Custódio went to the cornerflag to take it. Claudinei Sanches tried in the 26th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Alfonso Taraborrelli a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 6-0. In the 28th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Custódio to maneuver through the defense. Mário Maradona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Taraborrelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli got control of the ball when Mário Maradona tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's Mário Maradona got a free kick in the 34th minute. Dário Britto hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute MINEIROS were awarded a corner. Ricardo Custódio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led MINEIROS's Humberto Severo to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfonso Taraborrelli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Édouard Deloge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thommy Jadis. MINEIROS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Édouard Deloge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Alfonso Taraborrelli was a little too slow when Mário Maradona got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 7-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-1.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind BOTAFOGO's goalkeeper Alfonso Taraborrelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Maradona in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Taraborrelli saved BOTAFOGO from getting behind. In the 55th minute MINEIROS were awarded a corner. Ricardo Custódio went to the cornerflag to take it. Toninho Madureira took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thommy Jadis. Thommy Jadis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. Alfonso Taraborrelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Maradona in the 63rd minute of play. MINEIROS's Bon Čáp was substituted for Mário Maradona. In the 66th minute of the match MINEIROS got a corner. BOTAFOGO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Custódio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ricardo Custódio made a great header on MINEIROS's corner, it was just that BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli managed to reach the ball for a save. The corner ended in Ricardo Custódio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli did a great save. Thommy Jadis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaanek Oese, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. MINEIROS's Bon Čáp got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MINEIROS's Smail Larbi was substituted for Clóvis Rezende. Alfonso Taraborrelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bon Čáp went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of BOTAFOGO booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Petráš didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Hao Zhan Ping got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfonso Taraborrelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thommy Jadis made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Kauan Melo sent off a good shot on target. When MINEIROS's Bon Čáp in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BOTAFOGO's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bon Čáp in the 96th minute of play forced BOTAFOGO's goalkeeper Alfonso Taraborrelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
