The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 25 minutes of play, Alvi Verde's Cuero Buseth made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cléberson Alves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peker Suersan took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cléberson Alves. Cléberson Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Alvi Verde's attentive Hortêncio Fantini managed to snatch the ball when Jorge Peres made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. Cléberson Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Fantini in the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Diamond Football Club's zone, Cuero Buseth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléberson Alves came out of the goal and Cuero Buseth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cuero Buseth in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cléberson Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cuero Buseth struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Cléberson Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvi Verde. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cuero Buseth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Téo Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Carvalho in the 51st minute of play. Diamond Football Club's Cléberson Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilbert Ugalde in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Diamond Football Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilbert Ugalde was slow to take the kick. During this time Alvi Verde's players had a chance to rest. When Alvi Verde's Cuero Buseth in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Cuero Buseth sped through Diamond Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cléberson Alves. Kléber Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Cuero Buseth came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Alvi Verde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cuero Buseth couldn't finish the play. Alvi Verde made a substitution. Rodolfo Perfecto replaced Cuero Buseth. If Rodolfo Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Rodolfo Perfecto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cléberson Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilbert Ugalde in the 77th minute of the match. Cléberson Alves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wilbert Ugalde showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 77 minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, José Vítor Catarinense threw the ball into play from the sideline. Alvi Verde's Piarres Cabredo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alvi Verde's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Diamond Football Club's Cléberson Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Diamond Football Club from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Rodolfo Perfecto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléberson Alves was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by José Vítor Catarinense in the 97th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Alvi Verde's Piarres Cabredo. When the match was over Alvi Verde could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Diamond Football Club throughout the match.
