In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's goalkeeper Junior Soprano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luisinho Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Taraborrelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Luisinho Barral made a precise shot to the right of Alfonso Taraborrelli. BOTAFOGO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 31st minute, Luisinho Barral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfonso Taraborrelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The corner ended in Kauã Galvan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli did a great save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho Madureira to make the kick off. Alfonso Taraborrelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Alfonso Taraborrelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão de Alcântara in the 67th minute of play. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Betão de Alcântara sped through BOTAFOGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfonso Taraborrelli. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Tommie Barlow was substituted for Ronaldo Salah. BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Galvan in the 83rd minute of play. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. BOTAFOGO's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Valério Donatello quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Claudinei Sanches, made in the 89th minute of the game. Alfonso Taraborrelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Galvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after BOTAFOGO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adhemar Peixoto took the corner. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Kauã Galvan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alfonso Taraborrelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alfonso Taraborrelli made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Betão de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched HOSATO★★★★★VKRT eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
