Werner Colvin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Libardo Mayen made a huge save. In the 47th minute Werner Colvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Libardo Mayen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Werner Colvin to make the kick off. Werner Colvin scored 1-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Libardo Mayen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Sopa de Caracol FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Libardo Mayen should have stopped the shot. After some careless play in the Chuquisaca defense, Orlando Palma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 赵风青.
