A wasted opportunity for Sopa de Caracol FC. In the 5th minute, Gaizkine Urbina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Freshwater getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Januario Najarro hit a great ball. Raúl Ramirez might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ladislao Ulloa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raúl Ramirez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute Raúl Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Ulloa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Dacian Oprea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ladislao Ulloa. Freshwater's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dacian Oprea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 20 minutes of play, Sopa de Caracol FC's Lv Peng Yi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ladislao Ulloa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Sopa de Caracol FC's Marcelo Barragan got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cesar Jimenez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Libardo Mayen made a huge save. Sopa de Caracol FC's Libardo Mayen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Sopa de Caracol FC from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute Dacian Oprea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Ulloa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Freshwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Januario Najarro to maneuver through the defense. Sopa de Caracol FC's Dacian Oprea got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Sopa de Caracol FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Jimenez was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Freshwater booed when Sopa de Caracol FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Wallander didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Freshwater's Edwin Navas to fire away a dangerous shot which Libardo Mayen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dacian Oprea's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ladislao Ulloa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Orlando Palma's late challenge caught a Freshwater's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Palma helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Freshwater booed when Sopa de Caracol FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Palma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Ulloa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Ramirez in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Sopa de Caracol FC booed when Freshwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Pedrozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dacian Oprea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Ulloa having to interfere. After some careless play in the Freshwater defense, Raúl Ramirez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislao Ulloa. The Freshwater fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislao Ulloa should have stopped the shot. Dacian Oprea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Ulloa having to interfere. Libardo Mayen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Parada in the 79th minute of the match. Dacian Oprea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ladislao Ulloa made a huge save. Ladislao Ulloa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dacian Oprea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Dacian Oprea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ladislao Ulloa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Peng Yi in the 91st minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Sopa de Caracol FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Freshwater.
