Sportivo Chupeño were furious when Faro Abecia was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 66 minutes into the game, one of Sportivo Chupeño:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 71 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goalkeeper Aytek Subahi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tito Bonilla. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Palmiro Noronha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Chupeño's supporters rose to their feet, but Palmiro Noronha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Santamaria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC made a substitution. Kenneth Loaiza replaced Benito Jarquin. Sportivo Chupeño's Hipolito Abad was substituted for Tino Abeijon. Thanks to some nice moves Valentin Heredia could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Aytek Subahi however easily saved by the left post. Milan Antoš hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sportivo Chupeño fully deserved thier win.
