Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doido De Maré in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Benavides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15thth minute of the game Humberto Escobar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bahia Azul's Jacinto Chucho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacinto Chucho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Escobar in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Chucho saved Bahia Azul from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Martín Ulloa put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jacinto Chucho. Ronald Botello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Juan Benavides made a huge save. 35 minutes into the game, Doido De Maré recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Benavides. Doido De Maré showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 38 minutes, Alberto Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahia Azul and the ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberto Messias hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The audience was convinced that Humberto Escobar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Chucho was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of ►Las Mercedes F.C◄:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bahia Azul:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bahia Azul's zone, Martín Ulloa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Chucho came out of the goal and Martín Ulloa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the game, Humberto Escobar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bahia Azul the free kick. 97 minutes into the game, one of ►Las Mercedes F.C◄:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bahia Azul's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
