Juan Benavides was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The attack was good, but when Guillermo Escalona in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The Argen-Taino fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Argen-Taino's Jeremias Stewarts looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jesús Caminero made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Humberto Escobar sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Jeremias Stewarts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Benavides was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After 30 minutes ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Graciano Verón who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Martín Ulloa managed to get in a good position for a shot. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters rose to their feet, but Martín Ulloa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesús Caminero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Argen-Taino booed when ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Benavides didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Jeremias Stewarts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Benavides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argen-Taino's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Graciano Verón in the 36th minute. The corner led to Argen-Taino's Phil Mills getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Juan Benavides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Zapata in the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Agustín Zapata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Benavides was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 42 minutes, Tomás Benavides mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ and the Argen-Taino players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Graciano Verón came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Argen-Taino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graciano Verón couldn't finish the play. Jesús Caminero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Escobar in the 45th minute of play. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Argen-Taino were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Stewarts made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Juan Benavides successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 54 minutes into the match, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Stewarts came free, but Juan Benavides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Jeremias Stewarts put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Benavides. Argen-Taino's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Graciano Verón in the 64th minute. Argen-Taino made a substitution. Stanley Manzanares replaced Graciano Verón. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Jeremias Stewarts sped through ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Benavides. When Argen-Taino's Jeremias Stewarts in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
