In the 7thth minute of the game Reynaldo Lizer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Cristal's Gonzalo Berdugo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Furman Abaunza ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Dinamo Tirana's corner Furman Abaunza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gonzalo Berdugo quite easily take care of the ball. Sporting Cristal's Gonzalo Berdugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Caldueño in the 19th minute of play. Jairo Abarca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Giles Bartram hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Oskarbi Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jairo Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Abarca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Abar in the 33rd minute. Jairo Abarca came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Cristal's Oskarbi Abancens. But to his dismay, Oskarbi Abancens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Teodor Caldueño kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Dinamo Tirana's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Abar came free, but Jairo Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Lizer charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Lizer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Dinamo Tirana got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Lizer. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Dinamo Tirana's goal looked a bit too open when Oskarbi Abancens came free, but Jairo Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting Cristal's Gonzalo Berdugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Alagoano in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Dinamo Tirana booed when Sporting Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Abecia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Abarca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Cristal. Gonzalo Berdugo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodor Caldueño in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Cristal's zone, Zornin Nava stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzalo Berdugo came out of the goal and Zornin Nava tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Abar in the 68th minute of play forced Dinamo Tirana's goalkeeper Jairo Abarca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Abar kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Jairo Abarca came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Cristal's Fernando Abar. But to his dismay, Fernando Abar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Jairo Abarca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Abar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskarbi Abancens in the 80th minute of play. Reynaldo Lizer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonzalo Berdugo having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Lizer got free with Gonzalo Berdugo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Abar took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Abarca. Jairo Abarca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Sporting Cristal's Oskarbi Abancens got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Fernando Abar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Gonzalo Berdugo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Alagoano. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Furman Abaunza during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Dinamo Tirana getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Furman Abaunza hit a great ball. Dinamo Tirana's Jairo Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Abar in the 95th minute of play.
