An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Suárez in the 9th minute of play forced Guatitlan's goalkeeper Marcelinho Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Suárez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Marcelinho Paulista made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Omar Asad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guatitlan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marcelinho Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Da Silva in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Félix Pinho during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valeriu Timaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelinho Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Suárez, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After a rather tough play, Guatitlan's Henry Pedrozo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Pacho Abechuco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelinho Paulista. Guatitlan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aron Oks made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Valeriu Timaru sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, Guatitlan's Valeriu Timaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aron Oks narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcelinho Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Otto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
