Guatitlan's Marcelinho Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Brito in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match Made in Honduras got a corner. Guatitlan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Will Villanueva ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Will Villanueva fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Made in Honduras's protests and gave Will Villanueva a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Guatitlan booed when Made in Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommas Lanphan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dan Gheară made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Félix Pinho sent off a good shot on target. Salvador Vasquez hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Will Villanueva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelinho Paulista. Guatitlan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tommas Lanphan made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Tommas Lanphan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelinho Paulista was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 56th minute, Made in Honduras's Nicolás Mora dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Guatitlan's Edmundson Paddle was substituted for Valeriu Timaru. Guatitlan made a substitution. Max Mayen replaced Omar Asad. Mauricio Ventura kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundson Paddle in the 89th minute of play forced Made in Honduras's goalkeeper Dan Gheară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Gheară was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 92 minutes into the match, Guatitlan's goal looked a bit too open when Ruth Schilder came free, but Marcelinho Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundson Paddle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Made in Honduras's zone, Félix Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Gheară came out of the goal and Félix Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruth Schilder received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcelinho Paulista came out and tried to block the shot, but Ruth Schilder slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 98th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
