Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Agustin Barrantes made the kick off which started today's match. After 5 minutes of play, CS La Libertad's Marco Ureña made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thanasis Papadimitriou was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C. booed when CS La Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Ureña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanasis Papadimitriou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Ureña in the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Rodrigo Lobo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CS La Libertad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Lobo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Gottfrid Kjellbom came free, but Ernesto Monge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Monge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tonni Bynge, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Tonni Bynge succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 19th playminute. After 21 played minutes CS La Libertad got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Barrantes. CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save CS La Libertad from getting a goal against them. Gottfrid Kjellbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ernesto Monge made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Rodrigo Lobo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thanasis Papadimitriou was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 36th minute Agustin Barrantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Papadimitriou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. İbrahim Efe Ergener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfrid Kjellbom in the 45th minute of play. CS La Libertad's Gerardo Millot suffered a concussion in the 47th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for CS La Libertad. Agustin Barrantes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thanasis Papadimitriou. 1-3. After the first half CS La Libertad were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

CS La Libertad's Luis Martinez was substituted for Rodrigo Lobo. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gottfrid Kjellbom made a kick off. GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s Thanasis Papadimitriou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Carballo in the 61st minute of play. Thanasis Papadimitriou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Carballo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonni Bynge in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes in the game, Alberto Jaen dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. A collision led to CS La Libertad getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Luis Marin hit a great ball. The CS La Libertad supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CS La Libertad would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
