After a defensive mix-up in Havran JK's zone, Theo McLagan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erdinç Özaslan came out of the goal and Theo McLagan tried to chip the ball over his head. The supporters of Tranent City booed when Havran JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kayhan Başaydın didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Tranent City were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Coşkun Zafer made a kick off. The supporters of Tranent City booed when Havran JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kayhan Başaydın didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bob Lockerbie couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 60 in the game by Bob Lockerbie from a close distance when the talented Erdinç Özaslan managed to make a qualified save. Havran JK's players were relieved.
