After a rather tough play, Tranent City's Kenny Higginson got a free kick in the 4th minute. Theo McLagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Davi Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in GT Imortais FC's zone, Theo McLagan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Neiva came out of the goal and Theo McLagan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bob Lockerbie got free with Davi Neiva in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malcolm McKechnie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildo Tinoco in the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to GT Imortais FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Kléberson Aguiar hit a great ball. Theo McLagan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bob Lockerbie came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Davi Neiva could save by the left post. Malcolm McKechnie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Botelho in the 24th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Evaristo Botelho put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Malcolm McKechnie. Betão Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Botelho in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malcolm McKechnie saved Tranent City from getting behind. Evaristo Botelho scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Malcolm McKechnie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evaristo Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm McKechnie having to interfere. Tranent City's Bob Lockerbie got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tranent City's Kenny Higginson suffered a concussion after 44 minutes and had to leave the field. When Lúcio Cerezo fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GT Imortais FC's protests and gave Lúcio Cerezo a yellow card for diving instead. Lúcio Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo McLagan got free with Davi Neiva in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Davi Neiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rob McIlwhom went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the match, Bob Lockerbie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davi Neiva. GT Imortais FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bob Lockerbie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The supporters of GT Imortais FC booed when Tranent City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Dobie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tranent City! In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for GT Imortais FC. Betão Custódio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Malcolm McKechnie. 2-3. Rob McIlwhom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Evaristo Botelho in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Malcolm McKechnie, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Kléberson Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GT Imortais FC's Evaristo Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 97th minute of the match, Evaristo Botelho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Malcolm McKechnie was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. GT Imortais FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
