In the 14th minute Kartal Başar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Tomaszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Kartal Başar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Tomaszewski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Twierdza Osowiec's Pierre-Olivier Rix suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 20 minutes, Leszek Falke mouthed his way into the referee's book. Jan Tomaszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kartal Başar went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Stanislav Abovský hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Van Hoyveldt charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Van Hoyveldt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Twierdza Osowiec getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. The audience was convinced that Kartal Başar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Tomaszewski was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. The supporters of Zielonka Gdansk booed when Twierdza Osowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pang Qiang Fan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kartal Başar took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Tomaszewski. Jan Tomaszewski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 91 minutes into the match, Twierdza Osowiec's Kartal Başar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Tomaszewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Zielonka Gdansk manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Twierdza Osowiec to win.
