In the 18th minute of the match Cuauhtémoc Cardenas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustave Souchu skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, R.C. After taking down the ball on Les Pionniers de Touraine's corner Mickaël Métenier fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustave Souchu quite easily take care of the ball. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patryk Kopacz in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes R.C. Marseille's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Léon Sureau who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when Les Pionniers de Touraine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patryk Kopacz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Beauval came free, but Gustave Souchu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Song Xing Le in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Les Pionniers de Touraine's Mickaël Métenier. Karl Kubler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Gustave Souchu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Karl Kubler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Kubler in the 91st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl Kubler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustave Souchu. That made the score 0-4 in the 93 minute of play. Karl Kubler might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustave Souchu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl Kubler ran back to his position shaking his head. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Les Pionniers de Touraine walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
