Academica Pulheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Pinkus Mack was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Weniger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the match, Flatline Zombies's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Gomminginger came free, but Claudio Weniger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Flatline Zombies defense, Pinkus Mack kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Weniger. The Flatline Zombies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Weniger should have stopped the shot. Pinkus Mack's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Claudio Weniger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Claudio Weniger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moritz Christe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Conti came free, but Ercole Armellini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Flatline Zombies's goalkeeper Claudio Weniger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moritz Christe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moritz Christe in the 46th minute of play forced Flatline Zombies's goalkeeper Claudio Weniger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Moritz Christe sped through Flatline Zombies's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Weniger. In the 56th minute Pinkus Mack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Weniger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flatline Zombies's Claudio Weniger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moritz Christe in the 60th minute of play. Claudio Weniger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pinkus Mack in the 69th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Pinkus Mack in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Academica Pulheim's Bert Brandes was substituted for Malte Rastätter. Academica Pulheim's Meinolf Rebe was substituted for Pinkus Mack. Moritz Christe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Weniger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Kröger in the 80th minute of the match. Claudio Weniger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moritz Christe went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Meinolf Rebe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudio Weniger having to make a save. Claudio Weniger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moritz Christe went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score.
