Ovidio Ritchie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ovidio Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Kröger in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Ercole Armellini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Klose. In the 21stth minute of the game Moritz Christe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PoWer SC 2K5's Ovidio Ritchie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Kröger in the 25th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper Ovidio Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Ritchie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Kröger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Klose got free with Ercole Armellini in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Klose received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ercole Armellini came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Klose slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 34th minute. A collision led to Academica Pulheim getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Pinkus Mack hit a great ball. Academica Pulheim's Ercole Armellini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Götze in the 38th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pinkus Mack in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidio Ritchie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Academica Pulheim's Ercole Armellini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Academica Pulheim from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moritz Christe made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Pinkus Mack could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Ovidio Ritchie however easily saved by the left post. Edgar Gomminginger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ovidio Ritchie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academica Pulheim's Meinolf Rebe was substituted for Pinkus Mack. Moritz Christe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Academica Pulheim's Bert Brandes was substituted for Moritz Christe.
