In the 15thth minute of the game Luca Ternes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamburg Fighters's Matthew Jastrzembowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matthew Jastrzembowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Ternes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leroy Sane's late challenge caught a FV Wienerwald's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Jastrzembowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Ternes in the 32nd minute of play. After 32 minutes, Rudolf Aschenbrenner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hamburg Fighters and the FV Wienerwald players grew even worse after the yellow card. The FV Wienerwald fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when FV Wienerwald's Luca Ternes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luca Ternes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
