They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Holder Zocholl to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, SSV Ulm 1846's Ignaz Been got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Holder Zocholl kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Simon Vogelsang. That made the score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Gernot Poggenborg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SSV Ulm 1846's Erich Pitten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simon Vogelsang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miro Klose in the 66th minute. Holder Zocholl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
